Ludmila Yaneva was born in 1954. In 1972 she began her higher education at Tehran University, studying English language and literature, and Persian language. She continued her studies at Sofia University "St.Kliment Ohridski," majoring in English language and literature, with a minor in Persian language. She is an Assistant Professor at the Center of Eastern Languages and Cultures, at Sofia University "St.Kliment Ohridski, teaching Persian phonetics and lexicology; morphology and syntax; Persian phraseology and the theory of translation.
